Now and Next Week

This is our regularly updated snapshot of what's coming up:

Our 'GO LIVE' services can be found every Sunday on YouTube. Just search for 'Welton Baptist Church' and our N'Fest @ Home for 4-11 year olds, (premiering at 9.30am)  and our Sunday service (starting at 10.30am) should show.

One Church - 4 Communities
There is growing excitement as we prepare to gather 'in the flesh' on Sunday 4th October in 4 separate communities in the area, 1 in Timsbury, 2 in Farrington Gurney and 1 in Paulton. These services will start at 10.30am and will last for one hour. Our on line services will continue for those unable to meet in person and each community will be listening to the on line preach together so that we continue to have a sense of unity. A great deal of planning and work has gone into making these communities as safe as we can and bookings are essential as we need to know who and how many will be attending each venue in order to plan safe seating etc. If you are not part of Welton Church but would like to attend, please email and we can put you in touch with a community leader.

Nomad HGHouse Groups - Would you like to join a house group? We believe that our house groups are an essential part of church life, and even more so during these times. Growing deeper friendships and trust often happens within house groups as well as discipleship. We have lots of different house groups , some for women, some for men, some during the day and others in the evenings. Some meet every week and some meet 'as and when', so we hope that you can find one that suits your needs. All groups are currently meeting on 'Zoom' in line with current guidelines.

Alpha+YouthTom & Caroline are running an Alpha course, with a friend of theirs, on Thursday evenings along with a 'Youth Alpha' on Friday nights. Pray for them and for those taking part.

Vision - Reflections! We need to be kind to ourselves. God is incredibly kind to us and we want to be more like Him right? That includes taking time to step back and reflect. Here are some personal reflections for us in this current moment - 7 in fact! If any are helpful, please make them your own..... continue reading here.

Planning your Visit

Welcome. We're glad you're here

Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life - we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

welcome 1

For those who are exploring the possibility of coming to Welton, we’d recommend a ‘Welcome Meal’ - these take place every few months for those wanting to find out a bit more about the church, it’s vision and where you might fit. All over a great meal. Click here and we’ll email with the next Welcome Meal date. For now, here’s a few answers to some common questions people ask…

When & where does the church meet?
Somervale School every Sunday morning at 10:30am and every Sunday evening at 6.00pm at our Chapel in Welton. Click here for a map.

What should I expect when I visit?
A warm welcome! Church for people of all ages and from all walks of life. Some are already Christians, others exploring and growing their faith. Lively worship, great Bible teaching and groups for all ages. Services last for about an hour and a half, and always end with coffee!

What happens to the kids at church?
We have a fantastic range of groups for children and teenagers called Energy Groups. On Sundays, children and youth stay with their parents or carers for the first half an hour, then head to their own groups for an hour. There are mid-week groups too.

Is there a dress code?
No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Is it all about Sundays?
Not at all! We have many mid-week house groups, children’s clubs and youth groups running. Check out the House Groups page and Children and Youth pages.
