Driving force – Mike Howell – Sunday morning 11th October 2009

2 Cor. 1:8-11. In this continuing series on the pressures which we face in our lives, Mike looks at 5 types of 'driven' characters: the perfectionist, people-pleaser, activist, saviour and striver. We can all recognise one or more of these in our own lives. Mike then brings us to the example of the apostle Paul, who had learned to rely “not on [himself] but on God.” In order to do this, we need to confess and repent and learn to adopt new patterns of God-reliance.
