Distractions – Meg Rodgers – Sunday evening 20th September 09

Luke 10:38-42. Meg starts by talking about the ups and downs through which we go in life, from the passion of wanting to share with others, to the desert experience. It is easy to hear God when we're in church, but our everyday lives are full of distractions. God wants our time and attention, but we need to tune out the background noise. Like Martha in the story, we need to find the balance between service and devotion. God is the 'I AM', the One who wants our attention now.
