Cafe 3:16 is a youth cafe situated in the Town Hall in Midsomer Norton. It's open to teenagers, 3.30pm - 5.30pm every Monday and Wednesday and on Friday nights as well from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. The Cafe is run by Welton Baptist Church organisers of the "N'Fest" kids and youth events in August at Somervale School. N'Fest will be happening 23rd to 27th August 2010 so watch out for details.
"After our success with Big Top, and N'Fest last year, which offered young people a range of activities in the summer holidays, we wanted to create somewhere for teenagers to meet all year round. Somewhere where they can grab something to eat, have a drink, chat to their mates, listen to some great music - they could even bring homework. The Sarah Ann Trust has been great - providing us with pool and snooker tables, jukebox and loads more. We've invested in a top the range café machine so we can offer fantastic cappuccinos, lattes or hot chocolates", said Sally Evans, of Welton Baptist Church.
The Town hall upstairs offers a great space for a youth cafe if you're a teenager. It's on the way down the hill for all those coming home from Norton Hill and on the way out of Somervale, most of you will pass right by. As well as pool and table tennis, we have regular Wii nights on Fridays and believe it or not lots of us enjoy playing Scrabble!
